When their new President decided the existing facility overview didn't quite reflect the $5 billion industry leading powerhouse they'd become, our friends at TTI gave us a call.
The project included the design and installation of 3 separate walls within the main elevator lobby of their 1M+ sq ft flagship Paul E. Andrews Distribution Center built in 2018. They wanted a truly museum-level experience. It needed to tell the TTI story, provide a detailed overview of the facility and the its processes, and pay tribute to the TTI family – the loyal employees who helped make the company what it is today.
Our role in this project went well beyond our normal creative and content contributions. We also co-developed the engineering design, provided creative and installation direction, and performed hands-on installation and testing of all the electronics.
We worked closely with the TTI team on content procurement, copy writing, and research. The east wall within the space focuses on the company's long history and continued growth in the Fort Worth, Texas area – where it began doing business in 1970 from the kitchen table of founder Paul Andrews. The wall includes the "kitchen table" story, call out for TTI facility locations since then, and a few fun conversation pieces from those early days.
The main wall covers the story behind the facility, it's features, and the processes and equipment deployed there. This space includes 3 touch-free video presentations, extensive photography, highly detailed oversized 3D models of key products TTI assembles and distributes, and a scale model of one of the 40+ fulfillment robots that power their state-of-the-art autonomous pick-and-pull system.
The third wall is a structural build designed to create a side-by-side illusion of the five larger-than-life employee bio panels when viewed from the west entrance. This wall showcases TTI's people along with the company culture and commitment to quality across every aspect of their business. It includes an interactive testimonial screen where visitors can select and hear the success stories of three long-time TTI staffers.
